"How To" R and R Bolt on Neck

Acoustic guitars will need their neck removed at some stage during their lifetime, some manufacturers use a bolt on neck process rather than a glued joint, two of the most well known commercial Manufacturers that do this are Taylor and Martin
.
This walk through is on the Taylor Bolt on neck, it is a full bolt on, no glue utilised unlike the Martin which utilises Glue and Bolts

Time to carry out approx 1hr
Set the guitar on its side.
With the 7/16 Nut driver, push it through the logo
Like so, undo the top bolt as well, two exist in the neck
Hold the neck and body together whilst removing the bolts.
Then simply lift the neck out of its socket
I have attached the bolts to the neck to show how they sit inside the guitar.
Taylors neck joint is fitted with shims.
A extension shim and a heel shim
Remove the strings/bridge pins and saddle from the Guitar.
A 7/16 nut driver and a 3/16 allen key
Using the 3/16 Allen key, we loosen and remove the bolt attaching the fretboard to the neck block
Through the manipulation of the shim sizes utilised, a neck reset is very simplistic to carry out
