Hide glue is whats used to assemble, but....... hide glue has a working life of 45 seconds, then its set and is too late to use, so preperation is everything
The mismatch at the heel is from our new set angle, this is smoothed and paint touched up at job completion.
After 12hrs dry time, we string the cello up and leave it for 6 hrs
If all is good, use a wet cloth and clean up the residual hide glue
Polish and do a setup and job finished
To set the new neck angle, we sand the base of the heel, this will allow the back of the neck to sit higher
To put the neck back in we prepare the body with a couple of elastic bands and a clamp
45 seconds, from glue onto the surface to clamped and fitted.

Clean the tenon as well.
