"How To" Make a Pickguard

Not all pickguards are the same, generic pickguards sometimes fit most times do not.

This tutorial is the making of a pickguard for a guitar that never had one to start with.

Time to manufacture, approx 1 hr.
We then use our finger to trace the border of the guitar and lay down a reference line.
Using a piece of A3 paper.
We trace and cut to shape.
Fit the paper pickguard.
We now turn the paper pickguad into a mdf template, apply glue to a piece of wood.
Stick the paper template in place
Using a band saw we rough shape
Using a bobbin sander we finish shape.
First, remove strings.
With masking tape with roughlayout the pickguard shape

Use some sandpaper and remove the paper template.
