I raise the mold of my bench around 30mm
We attach it to the rear of our mold.
Some 220 grit sandpaper
Stick to the bending strap.
Always mark out the area you are going to sand with reference lines.
Stand the mold up.
In a figure 8 motion, we shape and sand the tail block.
Keep sanding until all reference lines are gone.
Cut the other end as well, this will leave us with an 80mm wide block with the grain running in the Horizontal direction.
If you are making a guitar with a form mold, then we use that form mold to establish the tail block curvature.
With a thin piece of steel, this one I use for my side bending
Once all sanded, side profile should be identical to the guitar mold.

For aesthetics, I like a bevelled corner, so pencil some lines.
