Essentially, plywood has been made and job completed.

Following the attached tutorial we make a pickguard.

As 4 sheets gives me a thickness of 2.4mm plus the glue, I use a drum sander to flatten and finish the job off
Final thickness 2.27mm, the original pickguard was 2.28mm.
We now have 4 ply.
