Old headplate clamped in place to take tracings
Our master template again in place on the headstock to make sure everything is to scale and appropriately located.
Glue the master template to the Vulcan fibre from behind.
Once dry, Dremel the logo, trim to shape
Final sanding to shape
Separate the MDF master template from our new Headplate
Flat sand any glue remnants from the back of the Vulcan fibre
Test fit
Back and forwards a few times we have a final shape, this will become our master template
Original pearls sat on surface
We remove the areas where the pearls will be fitted with a mini Dremel.
If happy, some titebond glue
Like so, then of to the bandsaw and sanders to be shaped.
Clamp and allow to dry for 24hrs.
After 24hrs, remove clamps and check fit
