Like so
Clamp for about 30 minutes.
Bandsaw the bulk of the excess away.
Bobbin sand to shape
New bridge is now the same external shape as the old bridge.
With a drill press, we locate the pin holes
Finally with a 3mm drill bit we drill through the ends of the existing saddle slot
Seperate the template from the new bridge.
8.72mm thick, close enough
I then thin the existing bridge down to a flat piece.
With some superglue we glue the old bridge to the new bridge

So we sand our blank to that thickness
Using a bobbin sander we shape the wings
