Using a small hand saw, I finsh the cuts to the corners.
Test fit the pre-amp, sand and trim as required.
This pre-amp also requires a small notch on one side to accomodate the battery box clip. I just use a small file to achieve this notch.
As shown.
Now the opposite sides lower bout needs a to have the input jack fitted.
Low tack tape again and marked out centre.
Input jack is 8.91mm wide
We drill a 9mm hole.
Using the fein saw, we cut the straight edges first.
Like so.
Follow up sand the edges with some sandpaper attached to a flat board.
Remove low tack tape and we have a clean hole drilled.
For cutting holes, I use a fein saw, you could also use a drill and just drill small holes around the perimeter and then cut / file the gaps away.
Feeding a jack rod throught the above drilled hole, we can fit the input jack to the end and draw it into place.
Attach the nut and washer.
