These are the three components which make up the head of the truss rod

Collar (In house machined)
Nut (From LMII)
Backing spacer (In house machined)
And slide our collar on over the top
The backing spacer and Collar get welded together
With an angle grinder I smooth my welds.
Like so.
Now we can wind the internal nut with an allen key so the truss rod is in half travel (6 full turns)
Now I attach the flat bar to the backing spacer.
Like so, post follow up with a grind of the welds again.
The length of the nut is 20mm
Then wind the LMII nut on fully
Placing this assembly onto the neck, I locate it 25mm out from the end of the tenon.
P2
The length of my machined collar is 35mm
We slide the backing spacer on first, it rests up against the machined area of my round bar.
