We radius the ends for visual appearance
The peak of the saddle sits forward of the centreline of the ebony insert
Use some hide glue to fit.
After 2 hrs, we clean up
String the instrument back up
Check fit forward side, make sure tailpiece rides clear of the body.

Job finished
My new saddle is going to project 6mm above the body

So nice piece of ebony to start from
Cut to width and trim to a height of 12mm total.
Shape the top of the saddle to a peak.
