After scraping we have a free thickness of 0.89mm,
I insert and glue the missing piece first
Follow up glue the rest of the loose binding
With a razor blade, scrape to height, note the arrow points to the join line.
After scraping we have one section of replaced binding

The arrows indicate the new replaced section.
We do some follow up paint work and job finished
As one goes out, another comes in :)
Total squeezed thickness 8.80mm, minus the wood which was 7.95mm, we have a total binding thickness of 0.85mm which is a compressed measurement.
Using a razor blade I scrape the binding on each side to achieve a visual match to whats fitted on the guitar
Duco cement for gluing loose binding.

Pass them through the router again, tweaking the depth of cut as required.
