Notch the ends of the fret, you do not need to.
With a shaped metal caul, hammer the fret to the desired radius, in this case 14 inch radius.
Test fit the fret against the end of the fretboard
File the tangs of the fret that hold it into the fretboard.
One nut and one fret, we now need to recess the nut for the fret tang.
Using the cut fret, scrape the nut to create the shelf.
Scrape until the fret sits nicely into the nut
Test fit nut
With some fretwire, we match the height of the current ones fitted 43 thou, larger is fine up to say 46 thou, lower is no good.
Trim the fret to the width of the nut slot.
With a file, radius the end of the fret
