Back to a real world application, need to glue this freshly shaped neck back into its socket
Using the warm water only
I brush the surfaces that need to be glued, allow this to sit for about 20 minutes under the heat lamp.
The initial water coat is to stop the Hide glue from skinning over.
Apply hide glue to the socket, with the heat you have an additonal 30 seconds workign time.
Apply clamps and let sit for two hrs.
String it up and job done.
After 30 seconds, its doubled in thickness.
At 45 Seconds its congealed and no longer useful.
The neck now has a tapered shim made, which will correct the neck angle
After 15 seconds, we can dip and lift the glue and its very thin and stringy.
I have heat lamps above my work benches.
