Apply some tape to the back of the guitar where the drill bit will approximately come through
We drill the two E string locations through the body, all other locations only drill to half depth.
On the back side you can see just the two E string holes.
Remove the bridge from the front
Use a couple of drill bits to locate the bridge within the E string holes
Drill the other 4 down and connect to the holes from the other side
6 Perfectly straight holes
I no longer need the bridge plate, so we mount it back onto the top and re-assemble all the saddles
Fit screws
Now..

We prepare to drill the clearance holes through the body, I find a drill bit that fits neatly into the string holes
Always use an overhead drill press for fitting ferrules otherwise it will look extremely bad
Picking an appropriate drill bit we use masking tape to set the depth of our ferrules.
P2
Drill all locations
From above we open all 6 holes to the appropriate sise

I don't press fit ferrules, it can and does crack the body, so I drill / ream, so they are a snug fit, use a dob of superglue to stop them from coming out with temp variations
