"How To" Saddle Slotting

So we move our piece of brass forward to make the fretted string sharper.
Until we get a fretted perfect note.
With a pen, I mark both sides of the piece of brass
Repeat for all strings.
With a ruler, we mark the centre line of all our points
Remove strings and pins
One centre line. move the line if required to encompass all the reference points
At the end of my centre line, I spot drill two holes.
Fret the 12th and check intonation.
Fretted string is flat.
Check again, repeat as required
Attach one saddle slotting jig, this jig is available from most luthier suppliers, but it is basically two straight edges with an end stop for the router.

Tune the open string to pitch.
We fit the dremel with an end mill bit fitted into the slot and align it with our drilled hole.

The small silver strip is the back stop, we adjust it for travel.
