To protect the rest of the bridge, I put a small clamp over the slot ends.
Measure/sand/measure.
We now have a depth of 5.04mm, this still leaves us with a good 2.5mm underneath.
Re-attach the piezo
The saddle sits way neater in the groove, and less chance of it snapping the bridge.
String it back up and tune.
Job done.
