Just a flat piece of aluminium bar, my bar is raised so I can fit clamps underneath it
The bridge rests on the other end
Straight away we can see the neck has pivoted and now I have excess back wood
With a chisel, I clean both surfaces to prepare them for glue up
Another view of the back overhang
Some titebond glue or hide glue if you wish
Clamp and glue overnight
After 24hrs, we remove our base aluminium bar
Manually split the back from the sides with spatulas
Split and work it back to my marked points.
I clamp the neck of the guitar onto my flat bar
The overhang section of wood after glue drying
I steam the kerfing area around the neck and sides
I sand the overhang away with some 220 grit sandpaper and a flat block
Back to a guitar shape again, just needs some finish work
