Drop the P90 in upside down and make sure it sits down low enough to accomodate adjustments.
Cleaned and polished
Screw it home into the original Humbuckers mounting points.
Drop the P90 in, if all went well, it will look like it came factory fitted.
Remove the template, we now have both ends of the original cavity opened to accomodate the P90.
With my 3mm mdf Pickup surround template I screw it into place to check for clearance.
With some plain pickguard material we cut a flat Pickup Surround plate.
These are available online or you can make them yourself with a cnc router, bandsaw or laser.
I use a laser cutter.
Simply run the router against the template to clean excess wood away.
Other side prepped to trim the end out.
