Guitars sometimes have a plain single colour finish, a technique for putting a design onto the guitar is called Mod Podging.

This strat copy is plain and white, the owner is getting a Purple Pokemon Dragon on it

Time to carry out 2 hrs over 2 days (glue / paint drying times)
Same for the top.
Stripped and scuff sanded.
Using some black and white prints oif various sizes, we identify the best fit.

Reverse print the image with a colour laser printer.
We use some tape and make reference points whilst its all clean and dry.
Squeeze the Mod Podge onto the guitar, its basically a form of glue with a dissolving agent to soften the laser print
Hi tech smearing device in use
Clean / plain white guitar
Strip it of its hardware as we will be painting some clear lacquer
I scuff sand with 600 grit sand paper to smooth the surface and remove gloss.
Tape our image on using our dry reference points
