Clamp and glue for another 24hrs.
Smooth sanded and transition the flute areas of the neck
For this one, I also have to transfer the serial number, so I have pocketed the back of the headstock to take the original serial number and stampings from the donor head
We cut the serial number out of the old guitar
And glue it in place, allow to dry for 24hrs.
We shellac the neck
Some colour matching and paint
Smooth flat sand with 220 grit sandpaper
Plenty of titebond to attach old headplate
After 24hrs, we remove clamps and start smoothing all the wood out
Chisel the excess wood away from the insert
Refit Machine heads and Nut.
Set of new strings and job finished
