Do a test cut
We can see, the inner and outer scrapers can be adjusted for a bit more clearance.
Adjusting the bolts accordingly
Shim and clamp cutters back in place.
Recut the job and test fit the rosette.
Once we have done our test cut, we need to setup for an accurate cut on the job.
I always dial in my drill press to make sure it is square to the table.
Refit our rosette cutter
Wind the inner bolt out and set the blade in place.
One rosette cutter fitted up with blades to scrape the inside and outside edges of the rosette channel
Drill a 1/4 inch hole in a piece of scrap wood
Drill a 1/4 inch hole into our freshly made spruce top.
Same deal as earlier, work out the mathematics
And cut.
Before removing the spruce from the drill press, we make sure the rosette fits.
