A small hand held router is now used to pocket the hole to the depth needed, we have a small cutter bit fitted that has a bearing that runs on our perspex guide
One routed hole 33mm deep.
Remove the template and drill a hole sideways into the nearest cavity, heren we are drilling and connecting our new battery pack hole into our input jack cavity.
Feed the wires in and through.
Screw the battery holder home, and fit battery into holder.
Close the cover and done..
Using a drill with a 12mm drill bit fitted, we are going to predrill a hole to the depth of the battery pack.
Like so.
We insert the cutter into our pre-drilled hole, and route to the depth required, do each pass in 5mm increments so as to not load the cutter up to much, total depth of this hole is 33mm.
Using the battery packs mounting location screws, we screw the template into place, apply some low tack tape onto the guitar to prevent marking from the template.
