Fret the string at the 12th and check intonation
Loosen the string off, using an allen key, we release the saddle block.
Using a brass drift, I lightly tap the saddle backwards, this will flatten the fretted 12th position.
Tapping it forward will sharpen the string.
Tighten the saddle back down after adjustment.
Recheck tuning.
Close up the Spring cavity.
Refit trussrod cover.
Stretch the strings, I do not like stretching strings, but becuase we have a locking plate for the strings at the nut, we need to break them in a little first.
Retune
The tuner indicates I am slightly sharp on the 12th
Fit and tighten the string clamps
Using an allen key in the post mounts we raise the action up or down to achieve the desired height at the 12th fret, I like to start an instrument of with 2mm on Bass E side, and 1.5mm on the Treble E side, this is adjusted again later subject to how it plays and the customer playing style.
Job finished.
Test play.
