Smooth the end with a bit of sandpaper.
We are going to add a little bit of Titebond glue to assist the locking of the Peg
I simply use a cotton bud and wipe the inside threaded area.
Fit the peg home and allow the glue to dry.
Repeat for all peg locations.
After a few hrs drying time, string up and test play.
We have excess material on the opposite side so we are going to mark this with a pen.
Using a bandsaw or handsaw we cut that excess away.
Test fit.

Wind the peg all the way into place until the threads are flush with the box.
